Central Ohio Modern Quilt Guild
Fundraiser Efforts 2019
Quilt designed by guild member Cynthia Hayes.
I served as Fundraiser co-chair in 2019 to create and coordinate ticket sales for our annual Raffle Quilt. Our goal was to raise between $1500-$2000. Below you'll see our progression from design to actualized quilt. It took approximately 6 months to design and create the quilt and another 3 months of selling tickets to achieve our goal.
Our Process
Design Challenge
To kick off the creation of our quilt, Kelsey and I gave our members a prompt to get them sketching.
Fundraiser Quilt EQ8
Our winning design by member Cynthia Hayes. I took her sketch and put the design into EQ8, a quilt design software. We didn't have specific prints selected at this time. We decided it would be best to shop locally and find the prints that spoke to us.
De-stash on the Lawn
Our final event at Sew to Speaks De-stash on the Lawn. Kelsey, Cynthia and myself volunteering to man the booth.
